Another Reason I Love Music – Boyz II Men x The Roots Cover ‘Iris’

December 19, 2009

It’s always awesome to see veterans come back and grace the stage again. Boyz II Men collab with the Roots on the Jimmy Kimmel Show to sing their rendition of the Goo Goo Doll’s ‘Iris’.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

It wasn’t perfect, but they really hit their stride by the end. Good stuff.

A Holiday Nightmare

December 10, 2009

Gap’s been running this ad this christmas season, and to be quite frank it terrifies me.

If I ever get married and have a daughter I pray to the Lord she doesn’t act like that with her friends. If after a long day of work I were to come home to a bunch of hyper screaming girls asking me how cute their boots are… I’m turning right back around and going back to work.

That weird, sledding worm thing they do at the end haunts my sleep at night. It wont stop chasing me asking for allowance and a ride to the mall.

B-Bap & Rocksteady

December 4, 2009

I saw this over at Korean Beacon and I have to say… someone please open one of these up in the DMV (DC-MD-VA) area. Preferbly next to a CaliYogurt or Yogiberry.

There, my secrets out. I live in the suburban metropolitan area of DC. Paparazzi come and get me.

It’s Stuff Like This That Inspire Me Musically

November 26, 2009

Mos Def, Jim Jones, The Black Keys, the RZA, Nikki Wray, Q-Tip, Noe, Billy Danze, Pharoahe Monch, Raekwon all on one project together!?

I’ll admit I’m not a fan of every artist here, nor do I even know of every artist but I can’t deny the sheer collection of talent in that clip.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, here’s to hoping I get cracking in the studio myself the next few days.
