October Birthdays for a Cause: The Big Three-Oh
Wow. In a few weeks I will be thirty years old. No longer young, but not quite old… In the good ol’ United States of #MURICA, the average life expectancy for males is 77.4. This means that in just a handful of birthdays or so, I’ll be middle aged – that adds some perspective, don’t it? But if there’s anything that can be said for my score and a half years of life on this Earth, it’s that I’m undeniable blessed and I’m so incredibly thankful for that.
I know, I know, I’ve said it many times before, and maybe I sound like a broken record. But I’ve got a few dear friends whose birthday’s also fall in the 10th month of the year; and one thing we all share in common besides the fact that all of our respective parents knocked boots at around the same time (*shudder*), is that we can all acknowledge how fortunate and Loved we are.
But rather than harp on and on about how good we have it, this year we decided to do something different. We’re partnering with One Day’s Wages and their Birthday for a Cause campaign during the month of October to raise funds and donate to their initiative to battle Human Trafficking.
So, as we (GT, Debora, Jeremy, and Angela) celebrate another year in life, in lieu of gifts, we simply ask you to consider joining us by making a donation, big or small, through this campaign. Whether you partner with us or not, your love and support is immensely appreciated, and we thank you for being a part of our lives.
